Monastiraki Square
Wandering is the best plan. We’ve spent hours getting lost (on purpose) in Monastiraki Square and the Plaka neighborhood—the best way to soak up Athens' charm.

The most versatile restaurant & best drinks hands down! Home to true masters of mixology, this quirky, multi-room bar has an inviting, laid-back vibe that makes it easy to settle in for just one more drink. Whether you're here for their inventive cocktails, classic pub fare, or their brunch made with amazing local produce, you can’t go wrong. Oh, and the coffee? Top-notch. Morning or night, you have to go!
Melina Mercouri Café
If you’re craving a relaxing coffee break with a side of deliciousness, this is the place to be! This cozy, friendly atmosphere makes it the perfect spot to take a break while exploring Monastiraki Square. Our favorite is getting a Freddo Espresso paired with galaktoboureko - a must-try Greek dessert that’s perfectly sweet, creamy, and absolutely unforgettable.
